This work is based on the artist's personal experience and the battle of desire in Lacan's master-slave dialectic. Its core is the resistance to the desire of others and the persistence of individual spiritual will. In other words, it is the will of the individual against the bullying of the collective unconscious.

The artist made this series of works with the object in everyday life. It removes its practicality and focuses on the symbolic meaning of objects under the social consensus. The struggle is here, The pillow constructed with wire  symbolize different levels of social ideology, and the different fillings in the wire frame are metaphors of individual spiritual will. In the solidified mode generated by the collective unconscious, this repression and antagonism hides its inherent abnormality under the seemingly normal order. At the same time, while removing the practicality of the object, the creator highlights its contradictory features with practical functions, just like the image of "superfluous man" in the literary terms of the 19th century, that is, the self-struggle and contradiction formed by the ideological innovation and the conflict between the realistic environment in which one is living. In this way, people can reflect on this situation. How can they solve their own contradictions and balance the struggle between individuals and the outside world?
